I sat down with Cassady McClincy Zhang (The Walking Dead) and filmmaker Merlin Camozzi to talk about The Snare, which is now available on VOD.

In our exclusive interview (which took place ahead of the film’s limited theatrical release), we spoke about how Merlin’s childhood informed the writing of the script, Cass’s contribution to the wardrobe and how a pair of pants transformed her character, and how “loneliness” was the key word when it came to nailing the tone of the score.

Merlin Camozzi is a writer and director whose work blends genre storytelling with gritty, grounded realism. Raised in rural areas and small towns across America, his perspective is shaped by a deep connection to place and to people on the margins.
