A website dedicated to independent film.

About

Cinemacy is a website dedicated to independent film. Founded in 2013 by Morgan Rojas, Cinemacy was born from a vision to take a more curated approach to film criticism, with a focus on independent, documentary, and arthouse films. With more than a decade of experience writing reviews, interviewing A-list actors and filmmakers, and covering red carpet events and film festivals, Cinemacy has become a trusted voice in helping audiences discover what’s worth watching in an increasingly crowded entertainment landscape. With contributions from her brother Ryan, our goal is to spark conversation, offer fresh perspectives, and encourage curiosity about how film reflects and shapes the culture around us.

In addition to our website, Cinemacy contributes weekly film reviews to the Herald Publications newspaper, reaching an additional circulation of over 60,000 (in print) residents in Southern California.
